If you need to edit and manage your MPEG video files in a simple, light, and easy way, MPEG-VCR is for sure the right solution for you. This amazing video editor allows you to work with MPEG-2 Video, Program and Transport streams, MPEG-1 Video and System streams, and DVD Movie Video Files (.vob), while supporting AC3 audio streams and even JPEG and BMP Image files.

MPEG-VCR comes with many helpful MPEG video editing additional features, like MPEG multiplexing and de-multiplexing, which allows you to separate or join the elementary audio and video streams; MPEG format conversion (e.g., to obtain a DVD-compliant MPEG file from a non-standard MPEG video), and an MPEG audio player complete with its equalizer, allowing you to work with the audio stream of any MPEG file separately. Furthermore, you can also make use of the Batch Save Manager, where you can add a series of editing and conversion jobs that will be performed sequentially. Besides, you can also create lists of MPEG video clips - through another separate editor - and specify a start point and a given length, as well as apply some video effects to each of them.

Once you open an MPEG file using the video editor, you will be presented with a number of editing controls that will allow you to properly edit any video file. With this set of tools you can easily play the video forwards and backwards; watch the video on a frame-by-frame basis, in any direction and while the video is stopped; set the video playing speed from normal to fast; establish mark-in, mark-out, and mark-insert points; play only a specific video segment, defined by the previously established mark-in and -out points; turn the audio on or off; cut out a video portion before, between or after the mark-in and -out points; insert effects like horizontal, vertical and rotate wipe, blend, zoom circle, and beginning and ending fade; copy a specific video segment and insert it in another point of the same or a different MPEG video; and take snapshots, which allows you to capture any frame you wish and save it as a JPEG or a BMP image file.

Despite all the functionality and the tools MPEG-VCR offers, this program is very light and easy to use, carrying out all the video editing tasks without any exaggerated use of your system resources. Besides that, it offers you an automatic updates search, and daily tips.
